**Call Center/Incentive Processing Customer Service Representative**

Location New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States Category Energy Efficiency Posted Date 02/28/2022 Job Id 10916 As a Call Center Customer Service Representative (CSR) you will answer incoming calls , respond to email s , and make outbound calls to utility customers that have expressed interest in participating in energy efficiency program s . Your knowledge and understanding of program opportunities and benefits to participation will increase customer participation and lead to an increase in schedul ing appointments with contractors. Your ability to engage the customer in both verbal and written formats increases customer satisfaction. Your attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks permit you to control the pace and flow of customer inquiries and requests. Finally, your desire to contribute to the customer experience means you use your active listening skills to empathize with the customer and create a professional and courteous experience for all. When customers end their call with you, they feel heard and understood and know their concerns and issues are being addressed The CSR must follow policies and procedures as outlined and quickly gather information to determine a customers needs, appl y problem-solving skills, and resolve the inquiry/request effectively. You us e the internet , scheduling software and other available tools to search/ retrieve information needed to address the inquiry and schedule appointments . Responsibilit ies include documenting information from the inquiry in an accurate and efficient manner and tracking requests until closure . You interact with management and subject matter experts as necessary, take direction within a team setting and complete team-related work promptly. Computer-based program s upport includes using p roprietary customer relationship management (CRM) methodologies to document customer information . **Minimum Requirements** Previous inbound/outbound call center experience. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills. Detail orientated and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. PC, keyboard, and typing/data entry proficiency. Exhibits professional demeanor and top-notch customer service skills. Ability to multitask and work independently as well as effectively within a team environment. Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work with minimal direction. Demonstrates strong computer skills with proficiencies in Microsoft Office and internet searches . Ability to quickly learn proprietary software. Possesses strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Superior troubleshooting abilities. Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and use creative problem-solving skills to make recommendations. Ability to work with culturally diverse customers and contractors effectively and respectfully. **Desired Skills:** 1 year inbound/outbound call center experience. Previous experience in energy efficiency and/or utility sector.
