Express Employment Professionals locatd in Broward County South, FL is currently urgently recruiting for a cake decorator/baker for a prestigious and hig-end bakery/catering business. The cake decorator is responsible for designing and decorating cakes according to customer specifications, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Decorate Cakes: Create visually appealing cakes for various occasions, including birthdays, weddings, and special events, based on customer requests and specifications. 
• Consult with Clients: Discuss design ideas, flavors, and preferences with customers to ensure their vision is realized. 
• Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure all cakes meet health and food safety standards, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. 
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage the inventory of baking and decorating supplies, ordering new stock as needed. 
• Collaboration: Work closely with bakers and other team members to ensure timely completion of orders and maintain quality. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Artistic Skills: Strong creativity and artistic ability to design intricate cake decorations using various techniques, such as piping, fondant work, and airbrushing. 
• Experience: Proven experience as a cake decorator, with a portfolio showcasing previous work. 
• Customer Service: Excellent communication and customer service skills to effectively understand and meet client needs. 
• Time Management: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple orders. 
• Knowledge of Baking: Understanding of baking processes and food safety regulations.
