Job Description

As a CAD Engineer at ServicePoint IT, you will play a critical role in designing and developing complex 2D and 3D models with a focus on Level 4 Building Information Modeling (BIM) . You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that all designs are accurate, efficient, and aligned with project objectives and industry standards. This is an onsite-only position , requiring hands-on involvement and close collaboration with team members to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • BIM Modeling & CAD Design:
  • Create and manage complex Level 4 BIM models for engineering and construction projects, incorporating 4D (time) and 5D (cost) dimensions as required.
  • Develop accurate and detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and schematics using tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM software.
  • Project Collaboration:
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to understand technical requirements and translate them into high-quality designs.
  • Ensure BIM models and designs meet project timelines, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Clash Detection & Coordination:
  • Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts within BIM models to ensure seamless integration across disciplines.
  • Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to ensure design accuracy and alignment.
  • Documentation & Standards Compliance:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all designs and BIM models, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project-specific requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company BIM protocols and standards.
  • Quality Assurance & Optimization:
  • Conduct quality checks on designs and BIM models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and constructability.
  • Identify opportunities for design optimization and implement improvements to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in CAD design and BIM modeling, with a strong focus on Level 4 BIM applications .
  • Proven track record of working on large-scale engineering or construction projects.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD and BIM software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and similar tools.
  • Expertise in creating and managing Level 4 BIM models , including 4D scheduling and 5D cost estimation integration.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction processes, and design standards.
  • Familiarity with clash detection software like Navisworks Manage or BIM 360.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
