Talascend is currently seeking a Business Analyst 1 (Entry-Level) for a contract opportunity located in Ridgefield Park, NJ.
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Location: Ridgefield Park, NJ; US Citizenship or Perm Residency
OVERVIEW: The main function of a Business Operations Specialist is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level. Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics, and budget. The business operations specialist usually reports to a project manager or director.
The corporate return order management team is responsible for all processing and reconciliation of returns based on sales programs and agreements. The main function of this role in particular is to review, analyze and reconcile outstanding return chargebacks and discrepancies on assigned accounts utilizing both reports from our internal ERP system as well as reports and communications from return warehouses and cross-functional teams.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Establish and maintain communication services across business units or from the project team to the organization.
- Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics.
- Review contracts, cost proposals and contract supplements.
- Set up project and work breakdown structures.
- Establish and document business processes.
- Track project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets.
- Resolve customer return discrepancies as reported by returns warehouses.
- Export and manipulate large amount of return chargeback information.
- Work with customer, sales and collection teams to resolves charge-backs issued for assigned accounts to balance AR.
- Monthly maintenance of aged commercial returns in adherence with global guidelines.
- Communication with assigned accounts regarding RA status, supporting inquiries and changes.
- Process return price adjustments via debit & credit memos.
- Process Return Authorizations approved via exception or special program.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, human resources or relevant.
- 2+ years related experience.
- Advanced Excel User (Power Pivot/Power Query).
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage ones time.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
- Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
- Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
- Previous experience with computer applications, i.e., MS Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Knowledge of SAP (or comparable ERP Systems) is a plus.
- Advanced Excel Knowledge (PowerPivot/Get & Transform) is a plus.
