MUST HAVE BULL RIGGING EXPERIENCE!!!
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools.
* Select appropriate equipment such as cables, slings, chains, winches, and pulleys, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules.
* Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability.
* Signal and verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads; control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces.
* Maneuver suspended loads over, under and/or around obstacles, using multi-point suspension techniques.
* Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance. Has knowledge of building materials, methods and the tools involved in the construction of structures and underground utility systems. Ability to logically plan and reason to identify alternative solutions; recognize when something is wrong or likely to go wrong; and consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions. Typically will have assisted a Rigger and have up to 3 years construction related experience.
