SUMMARY

We are seeking an upbeat and collaborative Bookkeeper to join our family-oriented and all-inclusive financial executive group full-time! We are a company that oversees 60 + businesses and has a full staff who are out in the field on a daily basis. Our ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience with full-charge bookkeeping, and can work across various niches of business. This candidate will assist our team to ensure budgets, timeliness, and job costs are accurate in addition to overseeing financial transactions for the books of 15-30 companies. These tasks include accounts payable and receivables, payroll, and bank reconciliation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive invoices and print checks weekly
  • Run payroll weekly
  • Assist with HUD settlements
  • Heavy data entry and high attention to detail
  • Update and maintain accurate financial records, contracts, annual budgets, tax reports, and financial statements
  • Guide Controller in breaking down expenses
  • Utilization of Zoom, QuickBooks, Slack, Zoom, ClickUp, Kepper, etc.
  • Reviewing bank accounts daily and looking for gaps / errors
  • Manage QuickBooks online - invoices /expenses / new closings
  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Prepare balance sheets and financial reports for review
  • Help cut checks and manage expenses for city municipalities
  • Ability to make suggestions on new software and processes

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of experience in Bookkeeping
  • Ability to handle 15-30 clients and $250k-$5 million in books
  • Must maintain high discretion and professionalism
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online (must be QB certified within 30 days of starting)
  • Be detail oriented...accuracy is key, organized and a strong communicator with the ability to manage the duties autonomously
  • Previous experience processing payroll – weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly
  • Ability to pivot across difference niches of work, clients, and timelines
  • Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and internet-based applications
  • Must have a full-time work commitment to the position and company and the ability to work a minimum of 32 hours per week
  • Ability to be collaborative, adaptable, and accountable to tasks given
