Company Description We are a family owned specialty stringed instrument shop that provides rentals, sales, and repairs for violins, violas, cellos, and basses across the country out of our headquarters in Cincinnati. Our mission is to provide high quality instruments for students up to the professional at a reasonable cost.
Job Description Baroque Violin Shop is looking for a full-time bookkeeper with excellent organizational and accounting skills, as well as an ability to communicate positively with clients and collaborate readily with colleagues. Job responsibilities include:
- Working daily with Quickbooks
- Checking, approving and entering invoices in a timely manner
- Invoicing clients
- Paying incoming invoices on time
- Keeping up with accounts receivable and making calls to past due accounts as needed
- Answering phones and assisting in-shop customers
- Processing online orders and payments
- Assisting in other operations as needed
- Performing necessary administrative tasks for the CEO
- Perform monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports as requested
- Processing payroll, time clock/T-sheets data transfer and keeping up with employee vacation
- File and record keeping
Qualifications - Understanding of accounting and payroll principles
- Understanding of Quickbooks
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, including data entry
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to read and analyze financial reports
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in protecting sensitive information
- Ability to work independently and meet required deadlines
- Self-motivation with strong attention to organization, time management, and detail
- Ability to multitask
- Dependability, arriving on time for work daily
- Enjoys finding ways to increase efficiency and streamline tasks.
- Ability to work with colleagues and clients to maintain a productive and positive working environment.
- 2+ years bookkeeping experience preferred

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour, compensatory with experience
