About the Role

The Company is seeking three visionary and engaged volunteer members to join its Board of Directors. This is a pivotal moment for the organization, and the new board members will play a key role in strategic planning, fundraising, and mission-driven leadership. The ideal candidates will be experienced nonprofit leaders or successful entrepreneurs with a strong background in either fundraising or marketing communications. Essential qualifications include a minimum of 10 years' of nonprofit leadership or board experience, a personal capacity for a significant annual financial commitment, and a deep understanding or connection to gifted education. The board members will be responsible for evolving the long-term vision and plan for the school, ensuring financial sustainability, and supporting the Head of School in leadership and evaluation. Candidates for the Board of Directors at the company should be prepared to dedicate 20-30 hours quarterly to their board service, including attending meetings, participating in strategic initiatives, and engaging with the school community. The role requires a hands-on approach, with a focus on both strategic thinking and practical execution. The company values board members who are proactive in advancing organizational goals, ask thoughtful questions, and challenge assumptions constructively. The successful candidates will be expected to generate a minimum of $45,000 in donations annually and should be adept at leveraging their personal and professional networks to support the school's mission. While regional connections are preferred, the company is open to considering qualified candidates from other areas who can meet the time commitment and demonstrate a strong alignment with the school's values and goals.
