WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB:

The American Red Cross is seeking a passionate, creative and skilled bilingual (English/Spanish) UX Designer to join our team to play a vital role in crafting exceptional digital experiences for our Spanish-speaking communities . You will be instrumental in fostering understanding, building user journeys, and ensuring accessibility and usability for our Latino digital audience. We are seeking a UX Designer bi-lingual in Spanish and English to help shape, cultivate and execute our Spanish and multi-lingual digital strategy for Red Cross’s flagship public-facing websites - redcross.org and RedCrossBlood.org - as well as our corporate intranet. In this role, you will collaborate with marketing, technology, product, and business teams to strategize, build and test intuitive and engaging multi-lingual digital experiences that deliver the Red Cross mission and meet business performance outcomes. The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual. The selected candidate will work 100% remotely from home and can be located anywhere in the United States with a preference to work East Coast hours. (standard work hours: 9am ET- 5pm ET) WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities): Support the delivery of our mission by understanding the lived experiences of Spanish-speaking communities and translating those insights into impactful digital solutions. Conduct user research and build deep understanding of the needs and preferences of Spanish-speaking communities. Design and develop engaging and user-friendly digital content and experiences, ensuring accessibility across the most common platforms and devices. Prototype and test UX concepts, iterating based on user feedback to optimize usability and effectiveness. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and content creators, to ensure seamless delivery of digital initiatives. Champion best practices for accessibility and inclusive design, ensuring all users have equal access to information and functionality. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in UX design and development, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve the user experience. Scope: Individual contributor that works under limited supervision. Apply subject matter knowledge. Capacity to understand specific needs or requirements to apply skills/knowledge. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (required/minimum qualifications): Bachelor’s degree* Experience: 7 years UX design experience or equivalent (web design or similar field) combination of education and related experience Fluency in and ability to communicate orally and in writing in both English and Spanish with a deep understanding of cultural nuances and sensitivities. Passion for serving and advocating for Spanish-speaking communities to deliver an optimal digital experience. Proven experience as a UX designer, with a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies. Some proficiency in front-end development languages and frameworks (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Excellent design skills, with the ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex user needs into actionable design solutions. Excellent English and Spanish communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with diverse stakeholders. Provide multi-disciplinary team support. Pursue cross-functional training to build proficiency in additional areas of the digital organization, obtaining a versatile skill set that can be leveraged to provide support and contribute to different teams and priorities when needed. A motivated self-starter as this position is fully remote Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (preferred qualifications): Experience with content publishing/reuse/syndication with Adobe Experience Manager Familiarity with multilingual websites with integrated translation service providers Familiarity with authoring in a SaaS solution. PAY INFORMATION:

The starting annual salary range for this position is $80K - $105K. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role. This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded. Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. **We will review specific salary information at the time of phone screening based upon your location & experience.**
