We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Audit Associate with at least two years of experience to join our team. The Audit Associate will be responsible for examining tax returns, financial records, and related documentation to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate findings clearly.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct tax audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws
  
  
• Review and analyze tax returns, financial statements, and supporting documentation
  
  
• Identify errors, omissions, and potential compliance risks
  
  
• Prepare audit workpapers, reports, and written findings
  
  
• Assist with resolving audit issues, appeals, and inquiries
  
  
• Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and audit procedures

• Participate in special projects and other audit-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax auditing, tax compliance, or public accounting
• Knowledge of federal and/or state tax laws and audit procedures
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax or accounting software
• CPA, EA or progress towards preferred
