About the Role
The Company is in search of an At-Large Board Member to join its dedicated team. This volunteer position is open to individuals who are passionate about education and community engagement. The successful candidate will serve a 2-year term and must reside within the Castle Shannon community. Responsibilities include acting as a liaison between the Foundation and the local community, attending regular board meetings, participating in decision-making processes, and contributing to fundraising efforts. The role also involves advocating for the Foundation's mission and goals within the community and encouraging local participation and support. Applicants for the At-Large Board Member position should have a strong interest in education, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse board. Previous experience in non-profit volunteer work is highly desirable, as is a connection to the community through residency, alumni status, or as a family member of a current student. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to a 2-year volunteer commitment and will leverage their non-profit experience to provide valuable insights and guidance to the Foundation. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the educational experiences of students within the community.
