Our law firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Immigration Attorney to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:
The Permanent Associate Immigration Attorney will be responsible for handling a wide range of immigration matters, including but not limited to:
1. Representing clients in immigration court proceedings, including deportation defense and asylum cases.
2. Preparing and filing applications for visas, green cards, and citizenship.
3. Advising clients on their immigration options and potential legal issues.
4. Conducting legal research and preparing legal memorandums and briefs.
5. Collaborating with other attorneys and paralegals to ensure the highest quality of legal services.
6. Keeping up-to-date with changes in immigration laws and regulations.
7. Ensuring compliance with all legal, ethical, and professional responsibilities and obligations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Associate Immigration Attorney position will have:
1. A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to a state bar, with good standing.
3. At least 5 years of experience in immigration law, with a focus on deportation defense and asylum cases.
4. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
5. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
6. The ability to handle a high caseload and meet deadlines.
7. Proficiency in legal compliance.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
9. Proficiency in a second language is a plus, but not required.
