Job Description

The Associate Creative Director oversees the creative direction and execution across multiple brands, ensuring each team delivers exceptional work that aligns with strategic goals and brand guidelines. The ACD balances big-picture thinking with hands-on mentorship, fostering innovation while maintaining brand consistency. Success in this role means elevating the creative bar across all brands, nurturing talent, and keeping teams focused, inspired, and aligned.

This position reports to the Executive Creative Director and is expected to work from the Adventure Sports headquarters in Irvine, CA .

As the Associate Creative Director, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Maintain a high-level understanding of all creative projects across brands, ensuring alignment with overarching goals and timelines

  • Support and mentor Art Directors in developing creative concepts, executing photo and video productions, and presenting work to cross-functional teams

  • Take an active leadership role in Gold Level campaigns, driving concept development and overseeing execution from start to finish

  • Ensure all creative output across brands adheres strictly to established brand guidelines, voice, and visual standards

  • Collaborate with the Executive Creative Director to set the bar for creative quality and consistency across all channels

  • Provide feedback and direction to creative teams to elevate design, storytelling, and brand alignment

  • Lead seasonal research trips to help keep the creative team inspired, informed, and attuned to current and emerging trends

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and leadership teams to align creative efforts with strategic initiatives

  • Foster a collaborative team culture that promotes innovation, curiosity, and accountability

You have:

  • 710 years of experience in a creative leadership role within an agency or in-house brand environment

  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Miro

  • Strong time and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities across brands

  • Extensive experience in photo and video direction, from concept to execution

  • Ability to produce high-quality, visually compelling work rapidly and accurately

  • Deep understanding of brand systems and visual identity execution

  • Familiarity with the action sports, moto, or cycling industries is a strong plus

  • Passion for healthy, active lifestyles and consumer trends within those communities

  • Relentless drive to create, iterate, and elevate creative output

  • Solution-oriented, with a proactive and adaptable mindset

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams and departments

  • Confident presenting ideas and leading creative discussions

  • Occasional travel required for seasonal research trips and on-site creative direction

Pay Range:

Annual Salary: $140,000.00 - $155,000.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
