Assembly Technician at Aerotek in Meridian, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Title: Assembly Technician (17/hr) Job Description As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling electromechanical assemblies, hand soldering wires to electrical connectors and PCBs, and maintaining production documentation. You will function as a key team member, ensuring that all production tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities + Function as a participating team member. + Hand solder wires to electrical connectors and PCBs. + Assemble electromechanical assemblies as required. + Review and complete required production documentation. + Update job status in EPICOR Systems as required. + Maintain a safe and orderly work area. + Perform related duties as required. Essential Skills + Accurate visual acuity for color and depth perception. + Vision sufficient to accurately measure in fractions of an inch. + Manual dexterity to handle small hand tools including a soldering iron. + Ability to read and understand moderately complex assembly instructions. + Comprehend written and verbal assignments. + Ability to work as a team member in a diverse work environment. + Advanced soldering and repair/rework skills. + Ability to use solder extractor tools. + Basic computer skills, accurate with data entry. + Good math skills with the ability to count and measure. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in hand soldering of various types including solder cups, J-Hook, and through hole. + Proficient in most on-the-job training (OJT) processes in at least two production areas. + Successful completion of OJT crimp training. + Successful completion of ESD and solder training (if required). + Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions. + Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED.
