Summary

Position Summary: Performs comprehensive medical and nursing assessments to be used in diagnosis and treatment of patients. Serves as an advisor, resource, preceptor and leader for other members of the patient care team. This position is PRN, 10 hour shifts with a premium pay rate. 

Essential Functions:

• Clinical Practice Provides direct and indirect patient care for patients referred to the GI service. Works proactively and in collaboration with other team members to optimize patient care and patient safety.
• Participates in the staff and patient education process. Develops patient education material promoting current clinical practice guidelines.
• Works in a professional and collaborative manner with all staff and physicians in the delivery of patient care. Communicates frequently with GI attending physicians and support staff.

Requirements: MSN - graduate of Nurse Practitioner Program Two years as RN; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN's from CCNE accredited schools or Maryland Physician Assistant license required.
