Drew University is seeking an Admissions Counselor in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This position is a 12-month, entry-level position reporting to the Associate Dean of Enrollment Management. The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for recruiting students from a designated territory to attend Drew University. An understanding of and ability to communicate the value of a liberal arts education and Drew's specific educational experience are required. A competitive, goal-oriented, results-driven individual capable of building relationships with students, parents, school counselors and campus partners will be successful in this position. Key Responsibilities: Recruit, admit, and enroll academically qualified students to Drew University. Responsible for keeping ongoing contact with students and their families, school counselors, faculty and alumni throughout the recruitment process. The counselor will implement recruitment strategies and programs that articulate the student-centered values and mission of Drew. Represent Drew University at recruitment activities in a designated geographic territory. Extensive travel is required. Initiate and maintain strong relationships with prospective students, families, and college counselors throughout the enrollment process. Review applications and make admission decision recommendations. Counsel prospective students and their families on the admissions and financial aid processes. Assist in the development, execution of on and off-campus Drew University admissions events. Analyze data to assist in developing a strategic recruitment plan for designated territory. Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean of Enrollment Management or her designate. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree required. Relevant experience required for this position: 1-3 years of experience in College Admissions is preferred. A valid Driver's license is required.
