Mavis Tire - Accounts Receivable Specialist

Put your career into high gear with Mavis Tire! We're looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join Team Mavis at our Operation Support Center in White Plains, NY . With nearly 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest, independently-owned tire sales and automotive repair chains in the USA.

About the Position

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for reviewing, researching and recording incoming cash, credits and deductions, as well as contacting customers or business partners to notify them of overdue balances and collecting payment. This role will engage daily with customers and other internal teams and ensure the AR Aging remains accurate.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the Accounts Receivable Specialist, an individual must:

• Display a motivated, upbeat attitude and the ability to work well with others
• Have accurate and efficient data entry level skills.
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Have experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Have 1 year of experience in Accounts Receivable/Collections, or a related field.
• Understand how ERP Systems and Cash Modules function for business (experience with Fuse 5 or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus).
• Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently allocate and record all incoming payments into ERPs
• Communicate with customers and address payment discrepancies and inquiries via telephone and email
• Create, maintain and utilize insightful financial reporting.
• Review and issue credits and rebates with proper backup.
• Engage in collections management processes
• Maintain accurate Customer Records and Tax-Exempt Statuses.
• Triage and monitor shared team email inbox
• Multitask and manage time deadlines.

Work Environment

The Accounts Receivable Specialist must operate in a fast-paced work environment. Working remotely is not permitted as an alternative to reporting to the Operations Support Center ("OSC").
